Feelings... Compiled

The following writing has been the results of a half hour vent session one night. There are no intentions on hurting any one but rather reminiscing of the good. Enjoy if you must.
Ok so this is how I have been feeling for the past couple of weeks and I feel that it is some kind of enlightenment. Lately I have noticed how much time people waste in trivial arguments or immature drama and I have grown to realize how much it is unnecessary. So many people spend the majority of their free time making obsolete comments to others just to get a reaction that will start a useless conversation. Some girls talk about guys and most guys argue about football but why? What advantage comes from sitting around disputing why the coach called that play? It will be over in a week. What does it matter that a guy said he wanted to go home this weekend instead of spending it with the girl down the hall? He should be allowed to do that. I am amazed at how even though we are adults and we are in a college real-world situation too many people get caught in high/middle school drama.
Due to being away from home for so long I have come to realize that there are so many little things in life that people take for granted. For example I have compiled a list of the little things at home that I miss. I miss walking in the door and guessing what mom is cooking… getting in stupid little fights with Shelby even when she knows she is wrong… driving over to grandmas house just to have a chat… the smell and feel of grandma Gail’s suede jacket after she walks into the country club for Christmas dinner… the various creeks and noises our house makes when you walk on the old hardwood floors… going to work after school or waking up early to get some extra hours in at the greenhouse… Mrs. Hurt in the mornings… waiting in line to get out of the parking lot… the seemingly endless nights of pizza, wings, bonfires, diet coke and mentos… the summer league lacrosse and watching my big goalie take one all the way… the crickets on those same summers nights… sitting on the front porch with dad watching a night time storm roll in… the distinctive slam of the garage door and being able to hear it form my room… the occasional but sometimes frequent bright red cardinal that would perch on the hemlock soldiers as they stood guard over the back yard… the spent with Taylor in her room or mine when we couldn’t sleep… the clean up days, fourth celebrations, clambakes, and noise debates… the closed causeway, the leaning fences and the island on fire… day long trips into the Amazon and the dinner bell call home… the summer house cookouts…being relied on to help get the boat into the water…the family lying around during one cool evening and having to listen to dad call yahtzee numerous times followed by the same maniacal laugh. I was considering putting these things into the song but these favorite things of mine had no rhyme or reason to why they are here. This list is definitely incomplete and is continued indefinitely in my mind.

Isn't cabin fever supposed to happen during winter?

Ok well last Friday, Jamie and I were cleaning our room and since fall ball lacrosse has ended I decided to put all of that equipment away. I then got my skis out thinking that maybe if they were out it would speed up the process. I think its helping but very slowly. The average high for this last week was around 45 with the low around 30. I'm going crazy because yesterday during the rain, the wind picked up so much that it turned rain into snow. I have cabin fever and im not waiting for spring I want to get out on the snow. Its hard because I have nothing to do and eventhough I know the snow isn't far off I still dont want to wait that long. In other news I have nothing new to report I have found a routine and am sticking to it. Not sure when ill be here next but until then play hard and work harder.

Getting closer!

Hi everyone. Well it is Thursday morning, I am in between classes so I thought I would write a little bit. Last night got me excited because the temperature dropped to nearly 20 degrees. I was excited because this is the first of five days with the low temperature below freezing. Later tonight there is a chance of precipitation which I am praying will be snow. I have had a couple good laughs because I enjoy and can endure these colder temperatures better than the Alaskans on my floor. After I wrote the original post here I went to class but I had to come back and edit because during my class I saw it... yes I'm talking SNOW!!!!! Well not much more for now. Play hard, work harder.

Dad's Weekend

It is Sunday morning well I guess now it is afternoon. Dad left this morning after spending the weekend here. We went out to dinner on Friday after he came to the dorm and met some of the people here. On Saturday we went to breakfast and then took a self tour of the arboretum. Following that we headed back to the dorm and gathered together before heading to the football game. Well the game was not good but we still had fun. Saturday night we hung out in the dorm and had pizza, watched football, and played video games. This morning Dad and I went to breakfast in Moscow before he left. It was good to see him because it was as close to home that I will get before Thanksgiving. In other news, no news is good news I guess. Everything is going fine nothing major has gone wrong. I'm still itching for that white fluffy bliss to start falling from the sky.

After the rain!

Ok well this is the first chance I have had since the rain to actually sit down and write a bit. So recent news is that I have a judicial hearing for multiple noise violations in the hall ways after quiet hours. Some of the violations I believe were unnecessary. O well it happens and I have learned from it. On the brighter side, everything has been going very smoothly and I cant complain about anything(other than the food which gets old after 2 meals a day). I have been trying to be active as much as possible but I have also saved lots of time for napping. I am also open to any questions about topics I talk about so be sure to leave me comments.

Rain!

Im very happy! Yesterday and today there has been a steady rain here and it has been great. Although I like the sun, the weather had not changed since I got here, until yesterday. I have been really busy with lacrosse and school work. I am actually about to leave for practice now so I will write more tonight when I finish my school work.
